New church holding Remembrance Service

2 min read

A NEW church set up last year is hosting a Remembrance Memorial service this month.

The church, at Jennet’s Park School has held fortnightly services since Christmas 2011 and has a regular congregation of roughly 40 people.
St Francis and St Clare church will be holding the service on Sunday, November 11 in Tawny Owl Square outside the school.
A member of the ministry, Sally Bottomer, said: “We’re hoping that this will be a real community event, bringing together everyone from Jennett’s Park to remember those who died for our country and for all those service men and women still putting their lives on the line to defend our country.”
The service will begin at 10.30am , with poppy making for children in the school before a process out to the square.
There will be a cenotaph made by a member of our congregation at St Michael and St Mary Magdalene Church, Easthampstead.
The newly established Rainbows and Cubs from Jennet’s Park will be part of the procession.
The service will be led by Rev’d La Stacey.
