LIBRARIES across the region are holding special events on Saturday, February 8.
Every day across the UK, librarians and information professionals are improving literacy rates, encouraging learning and promoting reading for pleasure. They connect people with the information they need and contribute to a fair and prosperous society.
Libraries across the Xn region are holding special events to encourage people to visit and experience some of the facilities and services that are on offer.
Reading Borough libraries (Central, Battle, Tilehurst, Southcote and Caversham) have author talks, book signings, advice sessions for writers and researchers, history lectures and fun activities for children. For details, log on to the Reading Borough LIbraries website.
Over in Wokingham Borough, there are special Coffee Mornings and Library Mouse events for the children at the libraries in Wokingham, Winnersh, Lower Earley, Twyford, Spencers Wood, Woodley and Wargrave. The Wokingham Borough Libraries website has more information.
Activities are also planned for Henley and the surrounding areas, which can be found on the Oxfordshire Libraries website.
