People from Reading and beyond can step into town and step out in style as Broad Street gained a brand new shoe store today.
ECCO opened its doors here in Reading for the first time this morning, and sells premium quality shoes and leather goods for children, women and men. The store, bedecked with bright lighting and well laid-out products cleverly draws on the clean minimalist look synonymous with Scandinavian styling.
The company heralds from a family of Scandinavian shoemakers. Unique in the shoemaking industry, ECCO make and prepare their own leather at their own tanneries, and produce their goods in their own factories; thereby providing a complete in-house concept, design and production facility
Reading local Rosie Tabox is the store manager of the new shop in town heading up a team of a further 5 staff, and has been working with the ECCO brand since 2012. She brings a wealth of experience to the Reading store, having managed stores in both Newbury and Bath.
Rosie commented: ‘It gives me great pleasure to announce the opening of the new ECCO store in Reading. I am excited to be able to introduce and welcome new and already loyal customers to the new store in Broad Street, where I know we will be a successful part of the global business. Our first priority is customer service. We look to be the best we can be, and offer a wide selection of children’s, ladies, mens and performance footwear and accessories. It’s great to be part of a company that really can offer something for everyone. ECCO is a great premium brand that is still growing, because we know that customers still want quality footwear that will last. Even in these economic times, it is so encouraging that ECCO as a brand is opening a further 6 stores around the country this year; proof indeed that growth is still out there’.
ECCO has 34 stores and outlets in the UK. They are located at 4-6 Broad Street, Reading RG1 2BH. To find out more about the business, visit global.ecco.com/en.
