The Beach Boys are one of the most successful bands of all time having sold over 100 million records around the world since forming in 1961. Last year ‘America’s Band’ released a six-disc collection, ‘Made in California’, featuring more than seven and a half hours of music.

Band members Mike Love and Bruce Johnston, who joined in 1965, lead the group with John Cowsill, Tim Bonhomme, Randell Kirsch, Scott Totten and Christian Love making up the septet.

Fans attending the racecourse on 19th July will be treated to some of their greatest hits including classics like ‘Surfin’ USA’, ‘California Girls’ and ‘Good Vibrations’.

The Beach Boys will take to the stage in front of the grandstands shortly after the last race of the day.

Tickets for the racing and concert are on sale now at an early booker’s discount of £25 for Grandstand Entry and £35 for Premier – £5 off the full price. Tickets can be purchased at www.racecoursenewbury.co.uk or by calling 01635 40015.

Chic racegoers will be rewarded for their efforts with style competitions, judged by celebrity stylists for their retro appeal.

Julian Thick, Chief Executive of The Racecourse Newbury, commented: “The Beach Boys will be the perfect finale to a great day’s racing this July. They will be the biggest act to date to perform at our Party in the Paddock raceday and there will be so many huge hits which the crowd can sing along to as the sun goes down. This fixture will certainly be one to remember.”
