They’ve performed for Royalty, made a feature film, dropped into the jungle and even been the subject of their own cartoon strip. Now they’re coming to Reading.
Tommy Cannon and Bobby Ball – better known as comedy duo Cannon and Ball – have been entertaining the nation since the early 1970s with their knockabout humour and catchphrases that include Rock On Tommy.
In the 1980s, at the height of their fame, they had a series of hit TV shows including Christmas specials and sketch shows.
They’re still popular today, regularly topping the bill in pantomimes, making a celebrated appearance in I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! and Bobby is a regular guest on the sitcom Not Going Out.
Bobby also wrote a play, Rock Off Tommy!, which the dup starred in at the Lowther Pavilion back in February.
The duo also tour regularly and will be bringing their unique brand of humour to the Grosvenor G Casino at Rose Kiln Lane on Friday, April 25, from 9pm.
The Up Close & Personal night will see the duo perform some classic routines and have you in stitches.
They will be supported by the All New Jersey Boys, who will sing the hits of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.
