Children’s favourite Mike the Knight and his sister Evie will be appearing in Bracknell town centre on Bank Holiday Monday (May 5) in an event organised and funded by Bracknell Regeneration Partnership (BRP).
Mike the Knight and Evie will be appearing at Waterstones at 11am and noon for a storytelling session where children can listen to tales of their adventures read by a narrator. Then at intervals between 1.30pm and 4pm both characters will make appearances upstairs in Princess Square with a chance to meet them and have a photograph taken.
All photographs will be uploaded to the Love Bracknell Facebook page (www.facebook.com/lovebracknell), with one photograph chosen at random winning Mike the Knight prizes from town centre retailers. The events are free to attend, but please note that some queuing is likely with the meet and greet sessions.
There will also be separate free craft sessions from 11am to 4pm in Princess Square, where children can make and decorate a sword, helmet, witch’s hat or a wooden spoon wizard. One craft per child, parents must stay with their children.
Rob Morris, general manager of BRP, said, “We are delighted to be welcoming Mike the Knight to Bracknell. These children’s character visits always prove popular, and we hope that lots of families support their local town centre and come along on May 5 to join in the fun and enjoy the event.”
