A group that welcomes all women for an evening of friendship, encouragement and healing will be asking ‘What’s the point?’ at its January meeting. .

Karen Allen will be the speaker at the event, which takes place at Southcote Christian Mission on Monday, January 16 from 7.30pm.

Andrea Rogers, the group’s corresponding secretary, said: “‘What’s the point?’  A good question and one we ask ourselves many times.

“It’s also the title of a book which helped Karen know what to do with a fledgling belief in God nearly 28 years ago.

“Meeting God personally is both possible and essential. Without a relationship with Him, how will you answer these questions:  What’s the point?, Why am I here?, What am I born to do?

“Come and ponder these questions with us and begin to see your destiny more clearly.”

Entry is free for first-time visitors or £5 for regulars and there will be refreshments served.

The postcode for  Southcote Christian Mission is RG30 3BL
