People considering attending a demonstration to show support for the NHS are being asked to consider joining up with one of the groups taking part.
The NHS National Demonstration is being planned for Saturday, March 4 and Bill Kerry, supporters and local groups manager for The Equity Trust, said he would like to hear from anyone who would like to go under the Equality Trust banner.
“Some of us from TET (The Equality Trust) HQ will be going,” he said. “It would be nice to meet up, if possible.”
Organisers of the event say, on their website, “The NHS is the single greatest achievement of working class people in Britain. We cannot allow it to be undermined and ultimately destroyed. We must march together, sending a clear message to the government; ‘the NHS will last as long as there are folk with the faith to fight for it.'”
