The Revd Nigel Hardcastle, vicar of St Barts and St Lukes in East Reading, has scooped a prestigious award.
The pastor won the Community Champion Award in the eighth annual Pride of Reading awards.
The honour was given to him in honour of his work in setting up the Reading Interfaith Forum 10 years ago.
A delighted Nigel told getreading.co.uk that he was “tickled” to win the award, which was presented to him by Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? presenter Chris Tarrant.
The Pride of Reading awards are run and organised by the Reading Post – entrants are nominated by members of the public.
