MEMBERS of Abbey Baptist Church in central Reading show off their medals, given to them after completing the annual Christian Aid Week walk round Oxfordshire.

Taking place on Saturday, May 19, 107 people from churches across the region took part in the challenge to walk five, 10 or 15 miles for the charity. All routes started at Bix Village Hall, a village near Henley-on-Thames.Each walker received a special wooden Christian Aid Medal, a coveted prize in this Olympic year.

Plans are in place for next year’s walk, which will take place on Saturday, May 18
