AUGUST is meant to be a quiet month for churches, but for Woosehill Community Church, it will be anything but.
The fellowship has been raising funds for a new kitchen, which is due to be installed as the month progresses. Volunteers from the church will be helping with the demolition of the old kitchen and giving up Saturdays to erect the new cabinets in preparation for them to be fitted. This is the first upgrade to the kitchen since the church was built 19 years ago. As well as new cabinets, there will be new sinks, a cooker and a fridge.
So far, more than £4,000 has been raised for the work, which is estimated to cost £7,000.
