TV, Radio and Sports personality Clare Balding at her recent book signing Lynda Bowyer
TV presenter, radio broadcaster, sports personality and all-round equestrian golden girl Clare Balding kicked off her tour of book signings recently with a personal appearance at Chapter One Book Store in Woodley.
The book, Clare’s second, entitled “Walking Home: My Family, and Other Rambles” is a delightful collection of stories and tales from people whom she has encountered during her adventures in the English Countryside. A former amateur flat jockey, Clare went on to become a Champion Lady Rider, and her continued love of the outdoor life is portrayed in her walks of discovery across Britain from the North East Coastal Path to the South Downs and beyond.
Clare currently presents for BBC Sport, Channel 4, and BT Sport, in addition to hosting the Sunday morning spiritual and religious programme ‘Good Morning Sunday’ on BBC Radio 2.
