You can star in Wokingham’s big Nativity

Christmas is coming and with it Nativity plays. And if you were always cast as the third donkey on the left now you’re chance to right a childhood wrong.

Wokingham’s town Nativity will be performed in Market Square at 4pm on Sunday, December 21 and is being produced by local theatre company Bottle Top on behalf of Churches Together in Wokingham.

The organisers, Anna, Jane and Hayley, are looking for people from Wokingham to come forward and be part of the show.

They said: “We would love you to be involved in some way. We are looking for stage crew/technical crew, artists, musicians, organisers and performers.

“We have lots of ideas – but essentially we will be producing the traditional nativity.”

To help get the creative juices flowing, Bottle Top will be holding two informal meetings later this month.

They both take place at The Duke’s Head pub in Denmark Street on Tuesday, September 16 or Thursday, September 18 at 7.45pm.

“Please let us know which date is best for you,” the women said.
