Linda and Clare Reading Buses

She helped to drive Busfare, a bus company’s canteen, to the dizzy heights of a 5-star rating for cleanliness. Now, Clare Hardiman is swapping her white overall – for the uniform of a bus driver.

Clare has said goodbye to Busfare at Reading Buses HQ at Great Knollys Street to begin a new career. She has joined the company’s Academy to learn to be a driver.

James Freeman, Chief Executive Officer of Reading Buses said: “Busfare is our award-winning canteen having recently been given a 5 star rating.

“We like to think of it as a venue for good wholesome eating. Busfare bakes delicious fresh cakes and cupcakes on the premises.

“Thank you Clare for all your hard work over the years and good luck with your new venture.”

Clare has left Busfare after two years working alongside Linda Linton who is now Busfare manager. Linda has been joined on a permanent basis by Nicky James.

Added Mr. Freeman: “I am sure that the smiling duo, Linda and Nicky, will provide us with excellent, variable and very tasty food.

“And they are promising even more good wholesome food with fresh ideas and more choices for vegetarians.”
