Well, that took us a bit by surprise – a small covering of snow fell across the country last night, giving Reading, Wokingham and Bracknell a winter wonderland this morning.
Now that the excited children are in school – well, apart from the lucky ones who get the day off – and the morning rush hour has been and gone, the snow is starting to melt away.
The Met Office thinks that there won’t be any more snow today – or tomorrow. Some heavy rain forecast for Thursday afternoon. The temperature will stay above freezing, but wind chill means that it will feel like it’s colder.
However, there is a still a yellow snow alert for the South tomorrow so that may change.
We’ll keep you posted.
