More snow has been forecast to fall in the South East this week and the Met Office has issued its Yellow Snow warning – Berkshire is likely to be hit on Wednesday.
Although Saturday’s light dusting of snow melted away quickly, the cold weather is sticking around as forecasters talk of an Arctic Vortex sweeping the country, bringing with it more of the white stuff. Snow is forecast for Eastern areas of the country today (Monday) and tomorrow (Tuesday, February 3). But Reading, Wokingham and Bracknell are unlikely to see anything until Wednesday. The Met Office’s warning suggests that up to 3cm of snow – just over an inch – will fall, with up to four inches (10cm) on higher ground. “The public should be aware for the potential of disruption to travel,” the warning adds.
