IF YOU have ever thought about giving something back to the community, but don’t know where to start, Monday is the day you should be marking in your calendar.
Reading Time Banks is organise a series of hour-long workshops for organisations looking to help serve the area in which they live.
Ann Lancaster from Reading Time Banks said: “Time Banking is a way to share skills, knowledge, abilities and interests.Time Bank members are important to each other and the community. It is free to join for individuals and organisations.
“One hour spent helping someone earns one time credit which can then be used to buy an hour of someone’s time.”
To help people hear more about how timebanking can benefit your organisation and the local community, Reading Time Banks has organised the worskhops for Monday, October 21.
They take place from 1pm, 2pm and 6pm and all last an hour. Everyone is welcome.
The sessions take place in the Council Chambers at the Civic Centre in Reading Town Centre and refreshments will be available.
