Literacy charity, Quick Reads, has released a short film that celebrates the power of reading to launch its 2014 campaign.
‘An Open Book’ features a host of celebrities, and authors who talk openly and passionately about their relationship with reading– both good and bad. The film features: Lily Cole – Actress and Activist, Amanda Holden – Actress; Myleene Klass – presenter and musician; Larry Lamb – TV and radio presenter; George Lamb – presenter, Ben Shepherd – presenter; Barbara Taylor Bradford – Author; Jamal Edwards – filmmaker and entrepreneur; Dame Gail Rebuck – Publisher; authors Andy McNab, Matt Haig, Deborah and Lottie Moggach; Cathy Rentzenbrink – Quick Reads Director and her father, Kevin Mintern, who himself struggled with reading before learning as an adult.
