Relay for Life 2015 needs your help

Relay for life volunteers preparing for the 24hr marathon relay walk at Palmer Park August 2014 Vivienne Johnson

Following the fantastic success of Relay for Life this August organisers want to do it all again next year. The event in Palmer Park raised over £10,000 for Cancer Research UK (CRUK) as 10 teams and 70 people spent 24 hours relay walking round the track in the stadium.

The ambition is for next year’s Relay for Life to be even better, raise more money and have more fun.

Organisers are now looking for people who would like to join the committee and start organising Relay for Life 2015. ‘We really want it sorted by November’, said Lynne Shipton a CRUK supporter. ‘Volunteering doesn’t have to be in a full time capacity and we are looking for help with

all kinds of things: from logistics, admin and advertising to a treasurer.’
