Thursday, November 19 is a blues letter day for fans of one of the most seasoned visitors to The Hexagon – Jools Holland will be returning to Reading with his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, ready to rock.
He will be welcoming special guest KT Tunstall for the tour, which also includes two dates at the Royal Albert Hall.
Jools Holland with be performing tracks spanning his entire solo carer as well as songs taken from his new duets album Sirens Of Song.
Jools is an incredibly accomplished man: as well as being a pianist, a bandleader, singer and composer he’s also a familiar face on our television screens thanks to his BBC Two show Later … as well as shows such as Name That Tune and The Tube.
He’s been touring for years and usually drops in to the Hexagon once a year – this is no exception.
BRIT-award winning artiste KT Tunstall will be joining Jools and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra for 19 dates – and Reading is the first of those. The Scottish singer-songwriter has sold over 4 million records since appearing on the Later… show in 2004.
Also featuring the astounding vocals power of Ruby Turner, the soulful tones of Louise Marshall, stunning sounds of Mabel Ray and the tireless drums of original Squeeze member Gilson Lavis, along with the inimitable musicianship of the Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, Jools’ boogie-woogie party promises to be a great night out.
