A NATIONAL charity that helps families get through the ups and downs of everyday life is coming to Reading next month with a special event aimed at parents of under 12s.
Parentalk: A Survival Guide aims to explore key issues such as communication with children, setting boundaries, helping them grow in independence while keeping them safe and building strong bonds with them that will help weather those teenage storms.
The charity, Care For The Family, will share practical tips that can be taken away and put into action at home straightaway.
And they are promising that it will be a humorous evening that will inspire and empower parents.
The session will be led by Rob Parsons, who has written a number of books about parenting, and Katharine Hill, who heads up the charity.
The event will be at The Pavilion in Reading’s Oxford Road on Wednesday, June 14 from 7.30pm. Doors open at 6.45pm, giving time to explore information and resources produced by Care For The Family.
Advance tickets cost £6 and discounts are available for groups of four or more. The on-the-door rate is £7.
A number 17 bus stops just outside the Pavilion.
