Conservatives enjoy comfortable win in Wokingham – Labour and Lib Dems tussle for third place, Ukip in second

People in Wokingham have voted for the Conservative Party for Europe, bucking the trend for Ukip.

Almost 4 in 10 people voted Tory in the European elections: 14% ahead of their nearest challenger, Ukip.

Labour and the Lib Dems tussled for third place, with Labour narrowly coming out on top with 12% of the vote compared to the Lib Dems’ 11%. The Liberal’s share of the vote is ahead of the national trend , which at the time of the writing, was just 7%.

The Green vote was next on 8%.
