Claire Overbury (flute) and Elena Zucchini (guitar) raised £1,000 at their charity concert All Saints Rotherfield Peppard
A concert featuring the best in Latin American-inspired music has helped raise £1,000 for an education charity in Rotherfield Peppard.
Members of All Saints Church in Rotherfield Peppard held the concert at the church on Friday, June 13.
The evening featured professional musicians Claire Overbury and Elena Zucchini on the flute and guitar. The programme of Spanish and Latin American inspired music, included tangos by Piazzolla and the well-known Carmen Fantasy by Bizet/Bourne. The haunting melodies and fast tangos got the audience’s feet tapping.
All money raised went to the Rotherfield Peppard Educational Trust, which supports educational activities undertaken by under 25s from Peppard. This includes school trips, projects, university field courses, gap year projects and specialist music courses.
The trustees welcome applications from people who live in the pairsh of Rotherfield Peppard; each applicant is treated in confidence.
