Yeldall Manor’s 40th anniversary open day and celebration takes place on Saturday, July 8
Yeldall Manor will hold its 40th Anniversary Open Day on Saturday, July 8. The Hare Hatch rehabilitation centre has recently featured on the BBC’s Songs of Praise and organisers are hoping that ex-residents, ex-staff, supporters and friends will come along for the afternoon event.
Gates open 1pm (free parking) for a hog roast lunch (£4 a head) or bring a picnic.
There will be a host of free games and activities includeing a penalty shoot-out, golf, coconut shy, and a Yeldall photo booth.
For the youngsters, there will be activities like face-painting and a bouncy castle to enjoy, and there will be things to buy including hanging baskets, handmade cakes and craft items.
The Coach House will also be open throughout the afternoon, showcasing Chissock Woodcraft and the other businesses there.
At 3.30pm, the marquee will be opened for the special Celebration service. There will be Christian worship and uplifting testimony as well as updates on life at Yeldall Manor.
At about 4.45pm, the afternoon will end with a strawberry tea enjoyed on the main lawn to the background of live music.
Yeldall Manor hopes that you’ll be able to stay all afternoon but, even if you come for just part, they say you will have a great time and go away inspired.
